Welcome to the Townsville Metal Detecting Club Website
The Townsville Metal Detecting Club aims to foster an interest in prospecting for gold, and searching for coins and relics throughout North Queensland.
Trips to goldfields in the region each month, allow members to spend time fossicking for gold, and enjoying the company of people with similar interests, while providing safety for everyone, and help for inexperienced prospectors.Trips are conducted throughout the dry season only, due to access and excessive heat.
General meetings are held to discuss business, and are conducted in a social manner allowing members to show finds and enjoy casual discussion of all aspects of the hobby. Social events are held at intervals throughout the year with an annual Treasure Hunt usually November or December. The treasure Hunt allows members to enjoy a relaxed family day at the beach with complimentary lunch and refreshments while competing in light-hearted detecting and gold panning competitions for prizes.

NO, not at this stage.
I have lost a ring, can someone from your club help find it?
Yes, we have members who, in the past have been able to assist in the recovery of lost Rings, Keys, and other metallic objects.
